In the 1900 Federal Census report of Union County Illinious, mary Ann holmes was living in the household of her son-in-law and daughter, Walter K. Underwood and Pheobe Caroline Underwood. She was listed as being 80 years old, born in 1819 in Virginia and she had 8 children, 5 of them still living.
