Neivelton DistNC/Anson SC?. She married CAPTAIN JAMES ALEXANDER WALKUP Abt. 1757 in Anson, SC, son of SAMUEL WALKUP and NANCY ALEXANDER*. Was said to have been born "at sea" on the way over from Ireland...f amily
came from Scotland via Ireland to "new world" in 1724 (1727?).
Motto on coat of arms "Solva Juvat Vritus"...virtues alone profits.
Buried old Waxhaw Cemetery, four miles from Lancaster, SC. His hom e was
south of Waxhaw Creek "Wauhob"s Mill" in North Carolina.
