Neivelton DistNC/Anson SC?. She married CAPTAIN JAMES ALEXANDER WALKUP Abt. 1757 in Anson, SC, son of SAMUEL WALKUP and NANCY ALEXANDER*. Was said to have been born "at sea" on the way over from Ireland...f amily
came from Scotland via Ireland to "new world" in 1724 (1727?).
Motto on coat of arms "Solva Juvat Vritus"...virtues alone profits.
Buried old Waxhaw Cemetery, four miles from Lancaster, SC. His hom e was
south of Waxhaw Creek "Wauhob"s Mill" in North Carolina.

She married CAPT. JAMES ALEXANDER WAUGHUP 1757, son of SAMUAL WACHOPE and NANCY ALEXANDER. He was born November 15, 1724 in Ireland / on ship crossing the Atlantic, and died February 01, 1798 in Old Waxhaw Cem., Lancaster Co., SC (Source: Tombstone, Old Waxhaw Cem., Lanchaster Co.,SC.).
