Mr. Foster Bemis, for nearly 27 years a resident of this city, died on Tuesday, at the residence of J. B. Whitcomb, on Bluff street, of congestion of the brain. He was the father of Mrs. J. B. Whitcomb (Persis J) and Mrs. J. W. Prouty (Lucy Ann) of this place and Alvin H. Bemis of Del Rapids, Dakota and Mrs. J. W. Webster (Lorinda) of Chicago.
