Kimball¹¹⁴³⁷ 13 Aug 1846¹¹⁴³⁷. She was born 1827¹¹⁴³⁷, and died 20 Jun 1885¹¹⁴³⁷. He married (2) Polly A. Bowen 18 May 1886¹¹⁴³⁷.

Edmund Bemis, son of Elijah, born Sept. 19, 1824; married 1st, Aug. 13, 1846, Mary M. Kimball of Rindge. Mrs. Bemis died June 20, 1885, aged 58; and he married, 2s, May 18, 1886, Polly A. Bowen of Richmond. He died June 10, 1892. A few years after his marriage he purchased the Perkins place on East Hill where he lived until about 1887, when he moved to the village and purchased one-half of the brick house formerly owned by Isaac Aldrich. Mr. Bemis was a shrewd business man and a successful farmer, and by industry and economy secured quite a competence. He served as selectman of the town at different times for twenty-five years, and in 1865 and 1866 represented the town in the legislature. He was frequently called upon to act in the settlement of estates and other probate business...

Town of Troy:
Elijah Bemis, a native of this town, died here in 1852, aged forty-nine years. His son Edmund, also born here, has been a selectman twenty years, was town representative in 1865-66, and has held the office of justice of the peace since 1866.
