I do have a correction [to Draper:46] - Charles Ferry s/b Charles Wilbur Terry - he was my great-grandfather. He and Fannie's Children were as follows: Edna Terry - b. & d. unknown Gertrude Terry - - b. & d. unknown Alice Bertha Terry - b. 6/30/1888 d. 4/1972 Eva F. Terry - b. 7/11/1890 d. 9/19/1956 Floyd Charles Terry - b. 6/24/1892 d 7/19/1974 C W and Fannie moved to Wichita, KA 1879. Built a number of buildings while in Wichita to include Scottish Rite Temple. Left Wichita, moved to Oil City, PA for 16 years. He was architect for Standard Oil. Newspaper clipping dated 1904 advises that Charles W. Terry moved back to Wichita. "He is a well known architect, who has many landmarks in the way of fine residents and buildings in this city during the 1880's." "Mr. Terry is one of the foremost architects in the country." Upon his return to Wichita he purchased the home of James C. Jones at the corner of Chautauqua and Douglas Avenues. The purchase price was $5,000. His office was in the Ocham Building,corner of Main and First, Wichita. It is reported he published a book of stock plans for homes and commercial buildings. Have not been able to find a copy. They left Wichita in 1919, moved to Alhambra, CA. Lived at 900 So. 2nd St., Alhambra, CA. Funeral services were held by Turner, Stevens and Turner; he was buried at San Gabriel Cemetery The above I have documented from a variety of sources to include family bible and other vital records.
