Notes/Comment-- After George W. Bemis, Jr. married his second wife, Addie P. ? in about 1897, they must have moved
to Mexico after 6/1900 (time of 1900 US Census) as their two sons, Louis(Lewis) G., and George were both b. in Mexico. After the youngest, George, was b. in abt. 1903, they returned to Chautauqua County, NY and were in Pomfret at the time of the 1910 US Census (6/1910). Addie was in the 1920 US Census as a widow, with son George. Son Louis(Lewis) was
living in the family of xxxx Shaw, as a step-son, but I believe the relationship to xxx Shaw is wrong. Have to spend more time with Shaw families in Chautauqua County to fiqure this one out. The first husband of Addie P. was a Shaw, who either died before 1897, or was divorced from Addie P. at the time she married George W. Bemis. Jr.. (CEB, 7/2002)
