LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF SOLOMON DEARMAN
State of South Carolina) In the name of God, amen, I, SOLOMON DEARMAN of
Darlington District ) the district and state foresaid being very sick
and weke in body but in perfect mind and memory thanks begiven unto God calling
for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament,
that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into
the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to
be buried in decent Christain burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing
-------but at the general resirection I will receive the same again by the
mighty power of God and _________worldly estate where with it has pleased God
to bless me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the
following manner and form:
First it is my desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully and
absolutely paid out of my estate by my Executors heretofore named,
Item secondly: I lend unto my well beloved wife MARY DEERMAN four hundred and
fifty acres of land including the plantation whereon I now reside, and two
negroes called Isham and James as also all the remainder of my estate whatever
with there increase during her natural life or widowhood.
Item Thirdly: My will and desire is hearafter the death or widowhood of my
well beloved wife MARY DEERMAN that if any of my children should be to small as
not to be able to get there living that a sufficient sum should be assessed out
of and from my estate to support and educate them until they shall live to full
age not exceeding two years of schooling.
Item fourthly: My will and desire is that after the death or widderhood of my
well beloved wife MARY DEERMAN that all my estate real and personal except such
as shall be needed for the support of my small children be equally divided
between my children that is to say, between :FEREBY BOUNDS, ELIZABETH TEER,
DRUSCILLA TEER, RICHARD DEERMAN, WILLY DEERMAN, SALLY DEERMAN, MARY DEERMAN,
NELLY DEARMAN,REBECCA DEERMAN, ELIJAH DEERMAN, MAHALY DEERMAN and ELISHA
DEERMAN which I freely give and bequeath to them in equal proportion to them
and their heirs and assigns forever.
Item Fifthly: I give unto my son JONATHAN DEERMAN one shilling sterling above
what he has already received to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
And lastly I do hearby nominate, constitute and appoint my well beloved wife
MARY DEERMAN Executor with my well beloved son RICHARD DEERMAN Executor of this
my last Will and Testament revoking and making all former wills and testaments
by me made null and void ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and
testament. In witness whereof I the said Solomon Deerman have hearunto set my
hand and seal this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and five and the twenty ninth year of American Independence.
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by SOLOMON DEERMAN as his
last will and testament in the presents of us who in his presence and in the
presence of each have already subscribed our names.

       136. James Jr Bounds, born Abt. 1721 in MD; died in Burke, NC. He was the son of 272. James Bounds and 273. Ann Dick. He married 137. Elizabeth Phillips Abt. 1750 in Anson, NC.

Notes for James Jr Bounds:
!James was known to have married more than once. He supposededly had
13 children by each wife. I know that his second wife was Elizabeth
Phillips. He served in the Revolution and received payment for
service on 12 June 1783. He also served in 1787 in the War against the
Chickamauga Indians. He lived in Anson Cty, N.C. most of his life but
he moved to Burke Cty after the revolutionary where he was in 1790,
near his son Joseph. He was listed on the census with only two females
in his household. He died after 1803 in Burke Cty, N.C. He did not
leave a will. According to the papers of Charles Lee Bounds supplied by Ruth Bounds Kerschner of Austin, TX, his sons George and Jesse were half brothers.
