Theresia Altmayer Layer was the mother of my ancestor Anna Elisabeth Layer Bohn. 
Theresa was the wife of Peter Layer. They came to the USA in 1903 with their children Anna Elizabeth, Charles and Peter and settled in Hamilton county in Cincinnati, Ohio where their children were born. They came from Lenauheim to Cincinnati, Ohio via Bre/Bal on the ship Chemnitz. 
She died before her husband Peter Layer(Laljer)(Lalyer).
Theresa was born Aug 30, 1851 in Germany. 
Her father was John Altmayer b ?    in Germany.
Her mother's name is Unknown.
Theresa died April 25,1936 in Hamilton Co. Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 84 yrs and 7 mos old . She resided at 2152 Spring Grove Ave. in Cincinnati. She was at the Busse Funeral Home in Hamilton for visitation by family before her funeral.
 
*****Death Certificate file # 25331 -register # 2674. Cause of death was Cleric Myocarditis (Senile) with terminal failure. 
       Place of burial is listed as St Joseph's. 
*****She had been in America about 33 years before her death. 
Her death certificate was signed by N.F. Slomer MD.
 
This is all the info we have about her at this time. We have a very faint photo that might be her but we don't know yet if it is.
