She married MILO AARON PULVER Abt. 1862 in Fabius Township, St. Joseph County, Michigan, son of OLIVER PULVER and JANE. He was born 1839 in Dutchess County, New York, and died in Michigan.

Notes for SUSAN AUGUSTA HOPKINS:
Susan lived with Son Sidney Pulver and wife Carrie Thursby for many years after death of her 2nd husband, (?) Kirby. She was a member of the GAR, as her first husband Milo Pulver was a veteran of the Civil War. Have receipts of her dues that were paid each year to continue to belong. She died under the name of Susan Augusta Kirby.

Notes for MILO AARON PULVER:
Milo and family came to Michigan in 1853. Probably from Dutchess County New York. He was 14 years old. He was listed as a farm laborer in the 1870 Census in Constantine, Michigan on Aug 13, (Micro film #593-roll #688), Cass County, Volume #5, 1-278-A ) Milo was a Corporal in the Civil War from February 27, 1864 until July 25, 1865 when discharged. He was in Co. E, 13th Infantry from Kalamazoo, Milo lived with Hiram Pulver and Lucina in the 1880 census in Michigan, but don't recall the County or Twsp. Hiram could also be his father.
In the 1870 census Milo A. was listed as 41 years old, but was only 31 years old. He lived in dwelling # 208-204 in Constantine, Cass County, Mich. Listed as born in New York. In the same dwelling was listed; 1- Anyosto, age 27 Female Born Mich. 2- Sulucy age 4 born Mich; 3- Adsiuce age 6/12 (or 6 months old) born, Mich. The handwritten records were next to impossible to make out the 3 names of those living with Milo.
