This statue was erected in downtown Nashville, TN. near a replica of Fort Nashboro (the first settlement in the Nashville area) by the Timothy Demonbreun Historical Society. Inscription: Jacques Timothe Boucher de Montbrun (Timothy Demonbreun)- 1747-1826. French Canadian Fur Trader & Explorer; Officer of the American Revolution; Lieutenant Governor of the Illinois Territory; Honored as Nashville, TN's "First Citizen".
