General Mariano Necochea

Gen. Mariano Necochea, one of the great liberators of South America. He bravely led the Argentine cavalry against Royal Spanish troops at the critical battle of Junin, thus saving the day. Considered the bravest of the brave by Simon Bolivar and General San Martin. General Martin is quoted as sayin "Necochea...alway Necochea," in reference to his acts of bravery. He became Governor of Peru, and retired as Grand Marshal. One of the notable descendent of the house of Nekotxea. He was born in Argentina, studied in Spain and is buried in Peru.
