We have traced my husband's father who was born in Texas to his father and then grandfather who lived in Roane County TN. Phillip, my husband's great grandfather was born in 1845/46. Married to Julia A Mathis (his 2nd wife). Phillip was the father of Ulyses S. Dickey,(1867) Edward C. Dickey (1870)and William C. Dickey (1873)with his first wife Nancy Hendrickson. Stephen Gilley Dickey, was born after his remarriage in 1879 along with his last brother Thomas B. Dickey 1880. Stephen married (Margaret) Henson Atkinson in 1899. Maggie brought 2 step daughters from a previous marriage and then they had Della, B: 1900, Myrtle 1903, Robert Steven (who is our descendant) born in 1908. Albert and Elbert (twins) 1909 and Roy, 1912. We know that Albert, one of the twins died in Riverside California in 1990 and we are doing everything we can to find the current Dickey's from this family.
