51) William Henry DILLON and Lucinda Powell DILLON

William Henry Dillon(1840-1905) and Lucinda Powell Dillon(1841-1914), here pictured, were the parents of approximately twelve children, born in Lawrence Co., OH or Lincoln Co., WV. William Henry was the son of Creed Cecil Dillon(1811-1879) and Abigail Rebecca "Betsy" SMITH, and the grandson of Esquire (Squire) Dillon(1785-1857) and Celia "Crecy" "Cecilia" WARD. Squire Dillon, from Franklin Co., VA, may have been the first of his Dillon line to resettle to Lawrence Co. OH; d. Willow Wood, Lawrence Co. OH, 1905; Lucinda was b. 1841, Greenup Co. KY; d. 1914, Kitts Hill, Lawrence Co. OH. They were m. 30 Sept. 1860, Lawrence Co., OH. Both buried at Myrtle Ridge Cem., Lawrence Co. OH.” This photo looks to have been taken c.1880. The tintype original has deteriorated during the past 125 or so years.
