46)Thomas Jefferson Hamilton and Anna Cox Hamilton

Thomas Jefferson Hamilton (1824-1907) married Anna Cox (1839-1920), the daughter of John Campbell Cox and Nancy Dillon Cox. Anna's maternal grandmother, Rachel Hamilton, Nancy's mother, may have been the same Hamilton line. The New Marshfield Cemetery has several other Hamilton gravesites. Thomas Hamilton was a life long farmer who spent 3 years, 2 months and 21 days active duty with the 18th OVI during the Civil War in which he participated in battles at Stone River, Chicamauga, Stone Mountain, Mission Ridge. Thomas and Anna were the parents of: Nancy J., John E., Hattie B., Eliza T., Garrison J., Thomas Franklin, Anna and Samuel Nelson Hamilton.
