16) Alpha Leroy Dillon (1868-1962)

Alpha Leroy Dillon was the son of Henry (John Henry) Dillon and Sarah Corn, the grandson of Greer and Mahala Wilson Dillon, the ggrandson of McCager and Mary (Polly) Callicott Dillon. As such he was a descendant of the extensive Dillon line from Franklin Co., Virginia. He was a teacher and a farmer and lived most or all of his life in Rome Twp of Lawrence Co. and Guyan Twp of Gallia Co., Ohio. He married Betty Fulks in 1891, the daughter of William H. and Lucy Ellen Williams Fulks. Their children were: Alden, Stanley Butler, Ferry Leroy, Arnold and Orin Avril Dillon. It is believed Alden may have died young, while Stanley, Ferry, Arnold and Orin went on to serve their country in WWI. Alf and Bettie Dillon are buried in the Crown City Cemetery in Gallia Co.
