JULIUS SLIFE

Julies H. Slife, 77, of 1630 Spruce St., died today at 1 A.M. at his home. He had been ill three weeks.
He was born in the Town of Newton, Marquette County, on March 10, 1891, son of William and Anna Slife, and was married to Miss Clara Martin on Oct. 21, 1920.
Mr. Slife served with the Army during World War I, and they came to Oshkosh in 1925. He had been employed as a finisher at Paine Lumber Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1957. He was a member of Martin Luther Church and its Men's Club.
Surviving are his widow, Clara; one, daughter, Mrs. Virginia Neddo, Oshkosh; one brother, Walter Slife, Oshkosh; three - sisters, Mrs. Charles Martin, Westfield, Mrs. Arthur Schwersenska, Coloma and Mrs. Edwin Bartel, Oshkosh; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30p.m. at Martin Luther Church with the Rev. H. O. Kleinhans officiating. Burial will be in the Lake View Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Marquardt Funeral Home Sunday from 4-9 P.M.

Services were held this afternoon in Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church for Clara L. Slife, 83, Oshkosh, who died Friday afternoon in Mercy Medical Center.
The Rev. Daniel Habeck officiated and burial was in Lake View Memorial Park.
Mrs. Slife was born Dec 26, 1897, in the town of Newton, Marquette County, the daughter of Robert and Augusta Martin. She married Julius Slife, Oct. 21, 1920, in the town of Newton, and they came to Oshkosh in 1925. he died March 8, 1969.
She was a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Ladies Guild.
Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Neddo, Oshkosh; one brother, Charles Martin, Wautoma; two grandchildren and two great -grandchildren.
Marquardt Oregon Street Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Graper, 66, Dies at her Home, Funeral Monday
Omro - Mrs. Frank Fred Graper, 66, Omro resident since 1948, died at her home at 9:15 A.M. Friday.
The deceased was the daughter of the late William and Anna Slife, born in Newton Wis., Nov. 5, 1892. She was married to Frank Graper at Newton Feb. 18, 1914 and lived near Coloma until moving to the Town of Omro in 1942. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Surviving besides her husband are six daughters, Mrs. Harold Domskie, Omro, Mrs. Adrian Brown, Oshkosh, Mrs. Reina Rick, Brodhead, Mrs. Ed Bliske, Ripon, Mrs. Paul Padilla and Mrs Ted Henke, both of Omro; two sons, Henry, Oshkosh and Reinhold. Julius and Walter Slife, both of Oshkosh; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Martin, Mrs. Arthur Schwersenska; both of Westfield and Mrs. Edwin Bartel, Oshkosh; 22 grandchildren and five great -grandchildren. A son and a brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, the Rev. H. D. Boyer officiating and interment in the Omro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Plansky Funeral Home from 2 P.M. Sunday until 11 A.M. Monday at the church 12:15 to the hour of the service.

Frank Graper
Omro - Frank F. Graper, 95, resident of Omro care center, died Friday morning at the center.
He was born Feb. 18, 1886, in Coloma, the son of Michael and Wilhelmine Graper. He married Ella Slife, Feb. 18, 1914, in Newton. She died Sept. 26, 1958.
Mr. Graper was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Adrian (Mabel) Brown and Mrs. Paul (Hilda) Padilla, both of Omro, Viola Domskie, Berlin, Clara Rick, Monroe, Mrs. Edward (Esther) Bliske, Ripon and Evelyn Henke, Winneconne; two sons, Reinhold, Omro and Henry, Manawa; 23 grandchildren, 36 great -children and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday in Grace Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Mattson officiating, Burial will be in Omro Cemetery.

ESTHER WILHELMINE BLISKE
RIPON: Esther Wilhelmine Bliske, 75, of 560 N. Douglas St. Ripon, died June 19, 1995 at Park view Care Center, Ripon.
She was born November 19, 1919 in Coloma, a daughter to the late Frank and Ella Slife Graper.
She was educated in Coloma. On June 21, 1941 Esther married Eddie H. Bliske. He passed away on March 14, 1986.
Esther had lived in Ripon the last 56 years. She was a floor lady at the Ripon Knitting Works and at Sand knit until her retirement in 1981. Esther was a member of Our Savior's United Church of Christ in Ripon, was a volunteer at the Pickett Community Center and worked as a poll clerk for for the City of Ripon.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Reinhold Graper of Omro and Henry (Elaine) Graper of Manawa; 2 sisters, Hilda (Paul) Padilla and Evelyn Henke , both of Omro ; 33, nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral services for the late Esther Bliske will be held 11:30a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's United Church of Christ, Ripon. The Reverend Eric Burnard will officiate. Interment will follow in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Edward H. Bliske, 69, of 44 Lawndale St. Ripon passed away on Friday, March 14, 1986 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Edward was born on June 24, 1916 in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara County, the son of Albert and Tillie (Courts) Bliske. He attended school in Wautoma. Ed worked as a quality control inspector at Speed Queen for 40 years until his retirement. On June 21 1941 he married Esther Graper in Springfield, Wisconsin. He was a member of Our Saviors United Church of Christ and Speed Queen 25 year club.
He had lived in Ripon since 1941. He served in the U.S. army during WWII.
Surviving include his wife Ester, and two sisters; Mrs. Bertha Reier of Wautoma and Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Christman of Wisconsin Rapids was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Funeral services for Edward Bliske will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 18, 1986 at Our Saviors United Church of Christ, Ripon with the Rev. Harley C.W. Tretow officiating.
Interment will follow at the Garden of the Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
A memorial has been established.
