Notes for RICHARD ARTHUR STANDKE: OBIT: RICHARD A. STANDKE Wautoma ---- Richard A. Standke, 41, Wautoma, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1988, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born May 14, 1947, in Portage, the son of Walter and Norma Slife Standke. He married Judith Rahn on Sept. 22, 1985, in Wautoma. Mr. Standke had been employed for a number of years at American Woodworking, Montello, as a machine operator. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Montello. Survivors include his wife, Judith; two stepsons, Ken and Andrew Dexter, both of Wautoma ; two stepdaughters, Mrs. James (Sherri) Lock of Spring Lake, and Denise Dexter of Plainfield; one brother, Julius (Susan) Standke, Westfield; one step-grandchild, Michael James Lock; one niece, Angela Standke, Westfield; and one nephew, Chad Standke, Westfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Standke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 11 A.M. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Montello. The Rev. Paul Kolander will officiate and burial will be in the Montello East Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma, and from 10 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. |

Notes for MILDRED SADIE KRUEGER: Candlelight Ceremony for Wedding of Area Couple Mildred Krueger and Philip Bruchs were united in marriage during a double ring candlelight ceremony at 3 p.m. Saturday May 11, 1974 at the St. Paul's Lutheran church, Crystal Lake. Officiating at the services were the Revs. Paul Johnson, Harrisville, and George Darling, Richford. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Krueger, Wautoma, and Mrs. Lena Bruchs, Coloma, and the late Arthur Bruchs. The bride wore a white chapel length gown of silk faced organza, featuring a Juliet neckline, bodice and sleeves, elaborated with Venise lace. The softly gathered skirt was appliqued with Venise lace, and deep ruffles enhanced the hemline which extended into the soft flowing train. She wore a silk illusion fingertip veil attached to a Camelot headpiece of matching rosebud Venise lace and carried a bouquet of white roses and purple bachelor buttons, trimmed with green foliage and white ribbon. Maid of honor was Delores Krueger, Wautoma, sister of the bride; and bridesmaids were Diane Piotter, Oshkosh; and Janice Jennerman, Hancock. Brenda Buelter, Coloma, was flower girl. The bride's attendants wore floor length gowns of blue chiffon, with tucked bodices, mandarin necklines and long sleeves, highlighted with braided rosebud trim. Blue silk ribbon accented the bodice waistline and deep ruffles trimmed the hemline. The girls wore Camelot headpieces trimmed with matching braided rosebud trim which were attached to face veils. They carried bouquets of yellow daisies and white mums. Best man was John Blader, Wautoma; and groomsmen were Kenneth Bruchs, Hancock; and Gerald Krueger, Wautoma, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Julian Lange, Coloma. Ushers were Ronald Krueger, Wautoma, brother of the bride; and Dennis Bruchs, Hancock. The attendants wore white carnations and the groom wore a white rose. Soloist was Mrs. Howard Fenske, Coloma, who sang "Sunrise, Sunset" and "Wedding Benediction." Organist was Mrs. Arnold Streich. The altar was decorated with two arrangements of blue tinted carnations and yellow daisies. A reception and dance was held at Grosenick's Dakota Inn, Wautoma. The couple honeymooned at the Black Hills in South Dakota and will reside in Richford. The cake was made by Mrs. Frances Stroup, Hancock, and music was provided by the Vic Bartel Trio. Pre-nuptial events included three bridal showers, one given in Wautoma by Stella Bruchs and Mrs. Mildred Willard, West Allis; one given by the Wautoma Memorial Community hospital, and the third given by Mrs. Harlan Beutler, Coloma. The bride is a graduate of Wautoma high school and is employed by the Wautoma hospital. The groom is a graduate of Wautoma high school and is employed by the Department of Natural Resources, headquarters in Wautoma. |
