OMRO-- Mabel E. Brown, 77, died unexpectedly at her home in Omro Monday, Jan. 3, 1994.

The former Mabel Graper was born Nov. 17, 1916, in Coloma, the daughter of the late Fred and Ella Schlief Graper. She married Adrian Brown of Hancock March 23, 1940, in Coloma. The couple moved to the Omro area shortly after their marriage.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Omro. She was active at the Advocap meal site and also enjoyed embroidery, plants, birds and gardening.

Mabel E. Brown is survived by her husband, Adrian, two sons and daughter-in-law, Henry (Sharon) Brown and Ricky (Kelly) Brown, all of Redgranite; seven daughters and fours sons-in-laws, Dorothy (Donald) Nelson of Iola, Irene (Delmar) Zweck of Oshkosh, Kathleen (Bob) Malclow of Oshkosh, Betty (Roy) Carpenter of Oshkosh. Edna Brown of Redgranite, Ruth McIntosh of Oshkosh, and Cindy Veach of Redgranite. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Graper of Manawa and Reinhold Graper of Omro; five sisters, Hilda (Paul) Padilla of Omro, Clara Rick of Monroe, Evelyn Henke of Neenah, Viola Domskie of Omro and Esther Bliske of Ripon.

Funeral Services will held at 11.00 A.M. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman Schell will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Krause Funeral Home, Omro, and from 9 A.M. until the time of services Thursday at the church.

ADRIAN G. BROWN

REDGRANITE----Mr. Adrian George Brown, age 84 of Redgranite, formerly of Omro, died suddenly Monday afternoon, April 3, 1995 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born March 19, 1911 in Hancock, the son of Edwin and Mabelle Brown. He married Mabel E. Graper March 23, 1940 in Coloma. She preceded him in death January 3, 1994.
Adrain farmed briefly in the Hancock area following his marriage. He and his wife Mabel had lived in Oshkosh prior to moving to Omro in 1964. He lived in Redgranite with his son, Henry for the past year and 3 months.
He has worked for a time at the Badger Lumber Company of Oshkosh, and was employed at the Morgan Door Company in Oshkosh for 28 years until his retirement in 1976. He then worked at the Omro Cemetery for about 10 years following his retirement . Adrian was a good story teller. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved pets. Adrian especially loved "junking," which he did until the day of his death.
Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Henry (Sharon) Brown and Ricky (Kelly) Brown, all of Redgranite, 7 daughters and 4 sons-in-law, Dorothy (Donald) Nelson of Iola, Irene (Delmar) Zweck, Kathleen (Bob) Malchow, Betty (Roy) carpenter, and Ruth McIntosh, all of Oshkosh, Edna Brown of Redgranite and Cindy Veach of Berlin; 35 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Stillman "Stubby" (Vinnie Brown of Rosendale and his sister Thelma Stratton of Randolph, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, his parents, and 2 sisters, Pearl, who died in infancy, and Leah Holmes.
Funeral Services for Mr. Adrian G. Brown will be held THURSDAY EVENING, April 6th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite. The Rev. Robert Faber will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Friends may call at the Ruminski Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. Thursday until the time of Services.

Clara Rick

Clara E. Rick, 76, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, died Monday, July 18, 1994 at The Monroe Clinic Hospital Division.

She was born May 29, 1918 in Coloma, the daughter of Frank and Ella (Slife) Graper.

She attended Coloma rural schools.

She married Reina R. Rick June 2, 1937 in Coloma. He died Feb.17, 1979.

After marriage they farmed in the Brodhead and Monroe areas before moving to Churchill Wood Apartments in 1976. Mrs. Rick became a resident of Pleasant View Nursing in February 1993.

Survivors include; a son, Gordon Rick, Janesville; a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Schmid), Monroe; two brothers, Reina Graper, Omro, Henry Graper, Waukau; four sisters, Viola Domski and Hilda Padilla, Omro, Esther Bleske, Ripon, and Evelyn Henke, Neenah; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Mabel Brown.

Funeral Services are 1.30 P.M. Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. The Rev. Deborah Allen of St. John's United Christ, officiated.

Deborah Krauss Smith, organist, played "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art."

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Pallbearers were: Dean Schmid, Monroe, Steve Schmid, Orangeville, Todd and Michael Rick, Janesville; Mike Schmid, Montocello; and Bill Normington, Brodhead.
