The 1880 census for Chillisquaque Township in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania shows
that Daniel and Margaret had the following children living at home: Emma Alice age 11,
Nora A. age 9, Calvin L. age 7, and Rose E. age 5. Their son Thomas E. age 15,
was shown as living with the family of Francis and Alice Linder as a farm laborer.
The census showed Daniel as being 52 years old and Margaret at age 44.
