1) Was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War
He served as a private from Sept. 15, 1777 to May 1, 1778 in Company "C" 1st Virginia State Regiment under Capt. Abner Crump's Company commanded by Col. George Gibson. He received 6 2/3 dollars per month as pay. Information taken from membership application of Mary Wasserman Lee in D.A.R. dated Sept. 30, 1918.
