The will stipulated that the 5 sons were to inherit the 300 acres of land, but not until Louisa became of age. Louisa was born in 1820. A neighbor named Crawford ended up with the land." |

Notes for Mary Davis: From Brenda Hickman 23 Aug '04: Something about this Mary Davis that was married to Osborne Hamilton. In the Bath County Will and Settlements or something like that, on page 19 it says Power of attorney given by John Davis of Woodford Co., KY to Osburn Hamilton of Bath, to convey to Joseph Gregory land on Back Creek, Oct. 5, 1799. Acknowledged in Woodford Co., KY Court. Then on page 114 in Will of Osbourn Hamilton at the end of it, it says ........also moiety of estate of John Davis, late of KY due at Mrs. Davis' death, reserving a suitable maintenance for his wife. |
