Notes for M
ARY WISE:
From Jeanne (Heddens) Sidor 15 Mar 2003:
Wise information handed down in my family says the following: Adam Wise was a farmer and lived on Ten Mile Creek in Washington County, Pennsylvania. His will, made April 13, 1781, probated and recorded October 10, 1781, was the second will recorded in Washington County, Pennsylvania. In this will, he mentions his wife, Catherine, sons Peter, Andrew, Frederick, Henry, Adam, Jacob, Daniel, Abraham, and Tobias. Also daughters Mary, Mary Ann, Velian, and Judith.
Andrew, the second son, married Zeruah Hartman. Adam Wise is the great great grandfather of Mary Margaret Krider Heddens.
This information was gathered by Sarah Laura Heddens Alspach, who lived in Indiana and was a member of the DAR. Her daughter, Mary Alspach Miller, was a national DAR officer. They used Christian Krider, Sr., the Revolutionary War ancestor, to meet the DAR requirements.
The other Wise information that I have was in the Ancestral files at the local Mormon Family History Center, here in Mesa, Arizona, where I live. It begins with Adam Wise, born 1708/1718, in Rheinch, Hesse Darmstat, Germany. He died June 9, 1781, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in the Taylortown Cemetery, Ohio County, Kentucky. His father was Andrew Wise and he had a son named Andrew Wise. He was married to Murillas______ and Catherine______. Other listed children were Frederick, Henry, Peter, and Adam. I hope this information helps someone to be able to connect up their family lines.
