Irene was six years old.
1910 Census not found.
1920 Census East St. Louis, MO, St. Clair Co. with first husband Erastus W. Zelton or Yelton and grandmother, Hulda. Irene was 25 yrs old.
Other husbands: #2 Felix Bolalia (spelling?) and #3 Joseph Lucas.
Mt. Hope Cemetery records show that Irene had a limb buried in the plot next to her step-father on 18 May 1967. The plot is unmarked. When Irene died and was cremated, her ashes were placed at the top of her mother's grave. Obituaries show no descendants. Cemetery record lists Mrs. Earnest (Lillian) Swanson, Rte 1, Box 74, Defiance Missouri 63341 as the holder of the burial plot account. There was no funeral service.

Mrs. Swanson was a teacher at Lindenwood College St. Charles, MO in the early 40's and at Washington University. She was director of the Mid-Central District of the the Federated Garden Club of Missouri. She was a member of the Sigma Xi Society and Eastern Star Euclid Chapter No. 425 in Clayton. (Obituary in the St. Charles Journal)
Lillian Werndle Swanson is the source in Donald M. Custer's research for the name of Cudigmister/ Cudimagester/Cudimagister/Cudigmeister as the maiden name of Peter Custer's wife Elizabeth. Donald gave the spelling as Cudigmister and others varied the spelling. The source in "Ball Cousins", "Descendants of Peter", and "The Descendants of Paulus and Gertrude Kusters" is Donald M. Custer. To date January, 1999 no document or actual record has been found to verify this name although descendants are still searching. The only document found which seems to fit is a marriage record for Peter Coster and Elizabeth Fleisher 28 Feb 1781 at Reading Reformed Church, Berks County , Rev. Boos officiating. Further research is needed.
