The true image of a Bynum Man came be seen through the eyes and action of this man. Richard Earl Davis was the youngest child of Alma and John Davis. He grew up in Portsmouth. He married Dorothy Jones having two children, Richard and Melvin.
He married Dorothy Sharpe on January 7, 1961 in Portsmouth, Virginia. They had four children in this household. Vickie, Kevin, Micheal, and Kimara all shared the love and fun of this family. As Richard Davis as the head, he set a standard in his home to exhibit a true knowledge of yourself and your family. He continues to grace the City of Portsmouth since he was born in Seaboard, North Carolina.
He told me in December 2001, that the lady that delivered him was my 2nd great grandmother, Minnie Moody, was the mid-wife.
