Robert Fabius Butler came to Dallas Co. in the fall of 1854. He was one of
the organizers of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, which organized on Dec 19, 1865
and met in the Elm Grove school house until May 26, 1867, when the school
house was destroyed by a storm. A house of Worship was then built near Mt
Calvary Cem. and later moved to the town of Richardson in 1895. The name of
the church was changed to First Baptist of Richardson in March 1954.

Robert and Mary lived on a farm of 50 acres on Campbell Rd, west of Westshore
Drive. (Just around the corner from where I now live!!!) The farm was given
to them by a Butler relative in Ca. One of the sons had killed the father and
had moved from the farm to California to avoid his prosecution. This letter
is in the Deed Records of Dallas Co.
