Borowiak-Pike Nuptials Are Solemnized In Flint

St. Matthews church in Flint was the scene of the wedding of Joyce Pike, daughter of Fred Pike of Flint, to Alex Borowiak, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pike of Gaylord on February 18. The Rev. Fr. Powers performed the ceremony proceeding the nuptial high mass at 9 A.M.

The bride, given by her brother, Frederick T. Pike, was gowned in a navy blue street-length dress, and more grey accessories. She carried a nose-gay of mixed roses.

Attending the couple were Miss Helen Borowiak and Raymond Borowiak of Flint. Miss Borowiak was dressed similar to the bride in blue and grey.

The immediate members of the family were entertained with a wedding breakfast and an open house. The newlyweds spent the weekend visiting relatives and friends in Gaylord before returning to their home at 1119 Hughes avenue, Flint. Mr. Borowiak is employed at the Chevrolet plant in Flint.

Guest from away besides those already mentioned were Mrs. Fred T. Pike of Saginaw, and Mrs. Benjamin Rosenblatt of Toledo, Ohio.

Dad died May 1, 1962. He left behind to mourn his loss. Wife Joyce Marie (Pike) Borowiak, an 11 year old son, a 9 year old son, a 3 year old daughter, and a 1 year old daughter Catherine Marie Borowiak.

He was buried May 4, 1962 in Crestwood Memorial Gardens, Flint, Genesee, Michigan.
