Last Will & Testament Of John Evans 1724 – 1768 I John Evans of the Parish of Gelligeare in the County of Glamorgan, Yeoman being of sound mind and perfect memory (Blessed be God) do this 28th day of April 1768, make and publish this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following, first I give and bequeath to Ann Phillips, wife of David Phillips of the Parish of Lanhileth in the County of Monmouth who is my eldest daughter the sum of 100 pounds, also I give and bequeath to Mary, daughter of the said David Phillips and Ann, his said wife, who is my grandchild the sum of 20 pounds. Also I give and bequeath to Mary Evans, spinster, my youngest daughter, the sum of 300 pounds, also I give and bequeath to Margaret Thomas, spinster, my niece, the sum of 10 pounds to be paid by my Executors who in after named within one whole year after my decease, all the rest in residue of my Goods and Chattels and personal Estate. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Evans, also give and bequeath to my son William Evans all my Freehold Copyhold Estate. And I make and ordain him together with my wife to be sole and joint executors of this my Last Will and Testament, and lastly I do hereby revoke disannule and make void all other wills by me at anytime here so fore made and make and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.
