David Ransom Overton and his wife Martha Evelyn Gibson and small daughter Florence along with his brother James Lusk and wife Martha settled in Brazoria County, Texas upon leaving Carroll County, MS. There daughter Rosa Overton married a George A. R. Lawrence of Fairhope, Alabama.
