They ran a small country store at Kerr's Creek or maybe its called Collierstown. not sure about the spelling. House was attached to store. Ole Joe was crazy and very spooky to be around. I can remember going to the house and it had a wood stove in it. Of course being from the city...I had never seen a wood stove. Ole Joe would disappear when we arrived and wouldn't come out amoung us. Before we left we would all go over the the store and get cold drinks in glass bottles.. She would sneak a big bag of candy to us to eat on the way home.. and would always say don't let Joe see the candy!! Of course we had to pay for the drinks.
