Mahala Stinnett was my great, great grandmother. Her first husband was George Bluford Henson, who died of brain fever while in the confed. army. My great grandfather (Henley Anderson Henson)was the youngest of their 4 children. They are in the 1880 census. At that time she was the head of the household and had 2 children with the surname Coleman. She applied for a civil war widows pension in 1912 under the name of Mahala Henson.
