She married Warren Allen Floyd 1954, son of John Floyd and Mildred Clark. He was born July 13, 1935, and died February 15, 1996 in Rocklyn, California.

Patricia Jean Floyd, 63, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, December 2, 2004 in Fredericksburg.

Born February 8, 1941 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Andrus Lawhorn and Margaret Stinnett Lawhorn Patterson.

She had been a nurse.

Her husband, Warren A. Floyd, Sr.; a daughter, Brenda G. Floyd; and a great grandchild, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children: Warren Allen Floyd, Jr. of Buena Vista, Rebecca A. Martin and Jennette Hawkins of Spotsylvania, John Daniel Floyd of Garden Grove, CA; and Sandria L. Ross of Gary, TN; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchilden; and a sister, Peggy McDaniel of Buena Vista; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home.

I'm Shirley "Jeannette" Hawkins (Floyd). My Dad is Warren A. Floyd, Sr son of John Daniel Floyd (Brother of Joe). It is with great sorrow to inform you that my Mother Patricia Jean Floyd (formerly Lawhorne) passed away December 2nd, 2004 in Fredericksburg, VA. She had left Rocklin , CA in Dec 2002 (stayed with me) and returned to Buena Vista in March 2002 to purchase her home on Hawthorne Ave (she deeded the home to us kids) to be closer to her remaining eldest Sibling Peggy McDaniel. Mom was visiting us in Fredericksburg for Thanksgiving and became ill during her stay. She was admitted to Mary Washington Hospital where she was diagnosed with Pneumonia and various underlining conditions that made her potential recovery unfavorable.

      47. Edward Lee6 Stinnett (Bernard Cecil5, John Lee4, Pitney F.3, James S.2, Benjamin1) was born December 14, 1920 in Buena Vista, Va1, and died November 1978 in Buena Vista, Va1. He married (1) Marian Bradley Private. She was born Private. He married (2) Dora Mae Nuckols 1942 in Buena Vista, Va, daughter of Jarret Nuckols and Sudie Gilbert. She was born February 28, 1922 in Buena Vista, Va2, and died March 1981 in Buena Vista, Va2.

Notes for Edward Lee Stinnett:
Edward served in the US Marine during WWII. However, he only served 2 months because his brother drowned and Ed was the only remaining son. The Marine Corp released him from service ,"Under Honorable Conditions", because of this.

Military Service dates are March24, 1945 to May 26, 1945.
On his DD214 (military record), dated 1945, he lists his last employer as Waterfront Lumber Co. in Newport News, VA. He lists his last day of employment at March 20, 1945. Waterfront Lumber is still there today at 1200 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA 23607 (757)245-0091.

He was educated in Rockbridge Co. Schools.
He was a plasterer and applied stucco. He was self employed and all of his sons worked for him at one time or another. His son David eventually stuck with him and took over the family business at his death.

Edward was affectionately called "Rabbit" because he had so many children. Dora would call him Ed Lee. He liked to hunt and fish. He loved to go to Friday night football to watch the Fighting Blues of Parry McClure high school.

He was over 6ft tall, had blue eyes, and had a thin build.

He died of a heart attack while working on scaffolding. He fell to the ground and his helper tried to give him mouth to mouth.

Edward had a child prior to being married.

Aunt Pete: "Marian Bradley, I think. She had very dark brown hair and real curly. Her grandmother married a Cooper man who had a hardware store above where Frances and Donald live, the building is still there. Marian moved to Maryland with a sister and never returned as far as I know. Edward and Marian's child lived with the grandmother in Buena Vista. Last I heard their child moved to California.

Ed Lee and Marian were just kids when this happened. Mrs. Cooper and mom were friendly and talked about it in front of me."
