The Freeman Family of Penn. Kan. and Mo.

Updated November 12, 2000

About Our Family Research

Grew up in a family of only about 25 known realitives. My father left my mother when I was born. Both maternal and faternal grandfathers left their familes also. I never knew my grandfather's names.

At the age of 63 I learned I had three half brothers living in Alaska. I began a search to locate as many ancestors as I could.
Fortunatly I stumbled on several distant cousins who were also doing family research. It has been an exciting journey. I have now idendified over two thousand living and deceased dna realitives.

I am back to 1783 for the oldest Freeman I can identify, and have been told he was believed to have come from Nottingham, England, but have hit that "brick wall". Will continue searching in the hope that someone will connect with this web site.

Joseph Freeman born 1783 Married to Susan Kesserling born 1799, they had eight children...Mary Francine, William Franklin, George Washington, Lydia Ann, Cathrine, Elizabeth, Joseph Jr. and Samuel, my GG grandfather.
