OBITUARY: from the Lubec, Maine paper:

A particularly sad death which we have to record this week, occurred last Wednesday night in Worcester, Mass., when Mrs. Alton Morong, formerly Miss Avis Lancaster, of this town, died very suddenly at one of the private hospitals in that city, only three hours after the birth of a little daughter. The child was born at six o'clock in the evening, and at nine o'clock, the mother, who was thought to be getting along nicely, suddenly passed away, without any warning. The young couple, both of whom had many friends here, were married only two years ago, spending their honeymoon here, and then removing to Worcester, where they have since made their home. She was about twenty six years of age, and is survived by her husband and little daughter. Funderal services were held Saturday, and interment was at Worcester.
