Notes for Claire Mae Crumb: [myff.FTW] Claire was working at Sears & Roebuck Department Store on Canal Street during WWII. She had a date for her Senior Prom but he was shipped out. One of her co-workers had a nephew that was in the Navy but was going to be in town on leave. He took Claire to her prom and they dated after until he was shipped out. He wrote her and later sent her an engagement ring wrapped in toilet paper from overseas. Charles and Claire married after he returned from the war. |

Notes for Andrea Madere: [Heck.FTW] Andrea was engaged to a man named Albert. Shortly before the wedding he was found dead in the bath. The gas flame had gone out and he was overcome. When he was courting Andrea he would bring his nephew along. After his death he continued to visit and she eventually married him. In her later years she loved to play bingo and scrabble and also loved to go to the horse races. See photo in family album See Appendix 39 Baptism |
