The family of Anna Barbara Friderich Wichner in Rothenberg, Germany.
In the little town of Rothenberg, Germany on 27 July 1652, is found
one Michael Friderch, his wife and two sons. On 23 May 1678 the death of
Anna, widow of Michael Friderich is recorded. The next document found is
in 1696, in this document (ACUICUH)? debts of the inhabitants are stated
and here one is found for Jacob Friderich. The Church Registers of
Rothenberg began in 1652 and are incomplete.
In 1688 the French war began, in which all towns and
cities,(Heidelburger Castle) were destroyed under General Melac. The
Church Book states that Jacob Friderich was the custodian of a Museum.
Jacob Friderich has to pay the Church 50 Schillings (DU'S) among other
things that co not still belong to him, such as a burned down house, a
dried out wine garden and fields. He must pay compound interest, the
rates that were usual in his country. In the Tribute Book of 1701 Johann
Conrad Friderich is again found. He and Jorg Freulich must pay 10 1/2
Schillings for their house and possession to pay for the City Wall (to be
built) and half to Mr. Heinrich Erle. (GLA 66/7806) in the unicur debts
and storage books of Rothenberg. 1750 is shown that a follower of Conrad
Friderich had taken over his incured debts by buying his property and
possessions. The whole family left the country after 1720. There are no
emigration documents nor testements from Rothenberg or other towns
surrounding Rothenberg before 1800 on this family. As we know John Law
came on the scene just about this time. Johann and his family along with
many of their countrymen migrated to the French Ports to await passage to
La.
From Deiler J. Hanno, "The Settelment of The German Coust of La. P.80
In 1723 we find this family in Hoffen, The First German Coast .

From the Researcher: The Friderichs come from Kaisername. The name
means (Higher than the King-Royalty).

Child of Michael Friderich and Anna is:
3956 i.   Jacob Friderich, born 1655; died August 14, 1681 in ROTHENBERG, GERMANY; married Margaretha Friderich WFT Est. 1671-1680.
