About three years ago I became interested in starting research on my family's genealogy. My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years and we have 7 children and 5 grandchildren. Becoming a grandmother was probably the one thing that spurred me into action. I wanted to make a record of our ancestry so that our children and their children would have this wonderful record of who they are!
I was very naiive about the work that is involved trying to track down information! But, I can honestly say that I am thrilled to be doing this and I love finding out about my ancestors! With a little patience, or should I say, alot of patience and determination, there is no "hobby" I could ever have that is as satisfying to me as genealogy is! My life has been enriched by the many others who share this dream. I have chatted with and met some of the most fascinating people you could ever want to know, just by having this in common. And, I am so grateful for the family members I have "met" online that I would probably have ever known otherwise.
