2. JAMES² COX (THOMAS¹) was born August 18, 1672 in Monmouth, New Jersey, and died October 24, 1750 in Monmouth, New Jersey. He married (1) REBECCA STILLWELL, daughter of JOHN STILLWELL and REBECCA THROCKMORTON. She was born January 16, 1670/71 in Staten Island, New York, and died in Unknown. He married (2) ANN COX. She was born January 16, 1670/71, and died November 25, 1747.

Notes for JAMES COX:
As of April, 1731, James Cox held two hundred and seventy-five acres of land, in Upper Freehold, New Jersey (First Families of America, p.473). He was a member of the Baptist Church of Middletown, New Jersy.
