I have been working on our family tree for over five years and it has grown to over 5700 names through connecting with other family members and through my own research. The internet has afforded me the liberty of searching more often and more thoroughly than was ever possible in the past. I am now working on a more complete and detailed search for the links of the past that seem to be the stopping places for the family. My main surnames at present are STRATTON, CLAIBORNE, COLLINS, HOPPEL, CHALCRAFT, ANTHONY, AND GERLACH. I have found two seperate lines of STRATTON's so far. One on my father's side through John Stratton and Sarah Wooley from Huntington England to Indiana in 1883. The other is through the Edward Stratton and Martha Shippey who lived in Bermuda Hundred in the mid 1600's. Zachariah Collins from Dublin is my newest find on the Claiborne side.
