Lucinda Elizabeth Hall (daughter of James Hall and Elizabeth) was born October 27, 1829 in Ohio, and died February 25, 1900 in Bolivar, Mo. Polk County. She married William N. Thaddeous Stevens on November 11, 1848 in Guernsey County Ohio, son of James Stephens and Elizabeth Anderson.

Mrs. Lucinda (Hall) Stevens, wife of Mr. William Stevens, died at her home Sunday about 1 O'clock. She had been an invalid some 14 years and had been confined to her bed the larger paart of that time. She bore her affliction with fortitude and seened to try and be as little trouble as possible. She was 72 years old and had been a member of the M.E. church for 52 years, and had lived a consistent Christian and died in the faith. She was a good old lady as every one who knew her will bear witness. She leaves a husband and four children and host of friends to mourn her demise. The funeral was held at the residence a3 O'clock Monday conducted by Rev. Sample. The remains were interred in Greenwood cemetary.

John took William along when he moved to California after Lucinda's death to live in Bakersfield with him and his wife**
