4. Eugene Register Guard: May 02 2003- Adolph"Apop"Danielson of Junction City, who died April 27 of age related causes. He was 89. Danielson was born Dec 02 1913, in Viborg S.D. to Jorgen and Anthora Meizler Danielson. He married Zona Samuel in Junction City in the 1930's. She died in 1993. He moved to Junction City from South Dakota when he was 14 and attended Junction City High School, where he played baseball and football. He served in the Home Guard during World War II and was on the construction team that built the Corrallis Airport. He was a master mechanic and was employed with Gibson Motors before working for Clarke Trucking for 40 years. He will be remembered as being able to fix anything and his talent for knowing what was wrong with an engine just by listening to it. He served as the Fire Chief for the Junction City Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and solving puzzles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors Include a son; Richard, a sister, Mabel Rasmussen; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Burial will follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene Adolph "Apop" DANIELSON of Junction City d. 27 Apr 2003 b. 2 Dec 1913 in Viborg, S.D., to Jorgen and Anthora Meizler DANIELSON; m. in the 1930s in Junction City to Zona SAMUEL - d. 1993
