He married Barbara (Pederson) Pedersdatter 1891 in NE., Webster Co., Red Cloud, daughter of Peder Erickson and Barbro Olsdatter. She was born August 24, 1868 in Norway, Buskarud, Gulsvig, Flaa ¹, and died October 18, 1957 in OR., Marion Co., Salem.

When Aunt Betsie died my mother, Ruth at age 13, had to write out papers for all the family to get their inheritance. It was about $80.00 each, a lot at that time.
the papers were filed in Mn. ? this could be anywhere, from Hibbing, Atonka, Erskin, Bloomomg Prairie, Grand Rapids or other.
There were Stavn's in Hibbings that were related to Hans. they were in construction in some way this would have been in about 1953 - 6 ?
Mom said that If anyone remembers him, they would remember what a great story teller that he was, not a spinner of tales but a good teller of story. That he would start a story in english and finnish in Norwegian, which she did not understand, always mad her mad.

Stoped in Walla Wall, Hans had heart-attack & Vernon, Hazel's son, was born 8/14/1925 then they continued to Portland, found out about work and went to milltown of Devitt, then then moved to Salem.
They might have lived in Minnesota towns of Hibbing, Anoka, Erskin, Bloomomg Prairie, Grand Rapids.
