BENJAMIN ROBERT, planter, & ABIGAIL (her mark) his wife. 1 of the daughters of JAMES HULBERT, planter, JOHN BRUNSON, planter, & ANN, his wife, another daughter of JAMES HULBERT; & WILLIAM (his mark) ROW, cordwainer, & RACHEL (her mark) his wife, another daughter of JAMES HULBERT; of the 1 part; and NOAH SERRE, planter of the other part; all of Craven Co. Whereas JOHN, Lord Granville, Palatine, & the Lords Proprs, by grant dated 15 Sept. 1705, signed by SIR NATHANIEL JOHNSON & others, gave PETER ROGER 300 a. English measure in Craven Co. bounding N on Ichaw Creek: W on ABRAHAM NICHAW: S on vacant land; E on CHRISTOPHER MAY: & whereas PETER ROGER & ANN his wife on 7 Apr. 1718 sold the 300 a. to CHARLES LAURENCE, cooper, of Charleston, & whereas CHARLES LAURENCE & MARY ANN his wife on 23 Nov. 1719 sold the land to JOHN BARNET, SR. cordwainer, of Craven Co.: & whereas JOHN BARNET & HANNAH his wife on 10 June 1720 sold to JAMES HULBERT; and on his death the 300 a. became the property of ABIGAIL, ANNE & RACHEL, as co-heirs & only surviving children; now they & their respective husbands sell to NOAH SERRE, L 150 currency, the 300 a., bounding according to plat.
