Fauquier Co, VA, MB 4-275, 1775, orphan of Duff Green, chose John Green (uncle) as guardian; his sister Elizabeth later the same. MB 5-168, 1774, chancery suit against him; MB 5-222, 1775, now gdn of Betty Green (sister), John Sr. having resigned. MB 12 May 1785 to Betsy Collins (Alcock, Fauquier Families, 1994).
