About Our Family Research


I am researching my Groot/MacDougall family tree.

Most of my relatives are from Wayne Co., Seneca Co., and Cayuga Co. in New York.

My great grandparents are Charles James Groot married to Johanna Schultz. Charles James Groot's father is Fredrick Groot. I am not finding any information on him and wonder when he came to the states

My other great-grandparents are Enos Levi McDougall married to Catherine Hogan Blaisdell. I am looking for information on her. She is supposed to be a full blooded Indian. I have conflicting information that she was Mohawk or the Osage tribes.
