Cave of Timothy Demonbreun on the Cumberland River

Thanks to Ruth DeMumbrun for this wonderful picture of the cave that is told about in the history of Timothy Demonbreun's Life. Legend says that Timothy lived in and used the Cave during the time of the founding of Nashville around 1779 and before. At times he stored fur's in it to keep them safe from others, and it is also said that one of his children may have been born in this very Cave. Do not know how much of this is legend and how much is the truth.
