09-13-00 I am just beginning to search for my ancestors on my father's side. Walter was born in Westmoreland Co., Penn Twp, on Mar 12, 1920. He was the oldest of 3 sons born to John Z Smail & Velma Hannah. His grandfather was Walter who was married to Minnie. Any tips or info would be appreciated. His brothers were Chester & Robert & they are deceased. His father, John, was the only boy, but there were sisters, Agnes, Peggy, Florence & could be more. Dad's mother, Velma Hannah, was daughter of Sylvester Hannah & wife, Bessie, of Clearfield Co.
