I am just starting to HUNT for Moore, Herring, Wilson and Stice family and other kin in YELL CO AR who would be relatives of my Father Alfred Dewey Hunt known by A.D. or "Arkie". My Dad's Father Thomas Jefferson Hunt and Grandfather James David Hunt died within 18 months of each other before my Dad was 3 &1/2 years old. His Mother later remarried to James William Moore and Dad had three 1/2 brothers & one 1/2 sister. My Grandmother Dine Moore lived until about 1957.
I am looking for information on my husband's family of Thomas Beasley Hamlett who married Arizona Stewart in West Tennessee, Henderson County near Jackson in 1877. I believe Arizona had 8 brothers and sister in her family from near Cedar Grove Tennessee. Thomas and Arizona moved to Van Buren County AR in 1880 and later to Ink, Polk County Arkansas where they had a 160 acre farm. Thomas may have had 3 brothers and the family may have had Hamlett Merchantile Store near Jackson TN in 1876. George Talmadge Hamlett stayed in the Jackson area most of his life.
I have more information on my Mothers family of Baker and Brunson who were from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and on down to Kansas and Oklahoma. My Grandfather Walter Blaine Brunson was an wooden oil rig builder near Tulsa, OK, Tulsa County in the 1908 time period and about 1931 he was Chief of Police at Perry, OK , Noble County. My Grandmother, Dorothy Susannah Baker Brunson was born in Ohio, married in Indiana, had her first child in Illinois, and by the time the second daughter was born, she and her family had moved to Tulsa, OK. Grandma's family in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana were named Baker and Eddgington.
