This is the official site for all decendants of the Michael Harmon Family of Olin Township, Northern Iredell County, North Carolina, which has it's annual Family Reunion the second Sunday in June, at Friendship United Methodist Church.

Michael Harmon (July 12, 1777 to January 1, 1859), married his second wife,Catherine Rudisill Rhyne (July 10, 1792 to April 16,1876). Both are buried at Friendship United Methodist Church. Michaels'Children from his first marriage were, Alexander,Betty, Michael, and Tenny (last names Harmon). Catherine's children from her first marriage were, Noah, Cynthia, Absalom, Ann, and Soloman (last names Rhyne). Michael & Catherine had and 7 more children. They were P.William, Jonas, David A., Anna, Lawson R., Mary A.(Polly), and Wiley M.

  Michael & Catharine Rhyne Harmon are buried at Friendship United Methodist Church, in Olin Township, Iredell County, North Carolina approximately 12 miles north of Statesville on Friendship Church Road. Exit 54, off I-77, left on Jennings Road, left on Friendship Church Road, Church approximately 5 miles on the left.

  Absolom Rhyne Catherine's son from her first marriage. She had 5 Children from her first marriage. All her children moved away except Absolom, who settled on land adjoining his mother and stepfather Michael. He donated land for Frienship Church.
