I have just begun to put together the HEATH and TAYLOR line of my husband's family. Edward HEATH was born in Barnaby, Lincoln in 1830. He married and had one Son to his first wife Maria MANDERS. This Son was James HEATH who was born in Middlesbrough, Cleveland, England. He remarried after Maria's death in 1859 a Eliza NIXON who bore him no children. She died in 1875 After whom he married Elizabeth SMITH nee POWTON, who had three children to her first husband, he then went on to have two more children to Elizabeth called Thomas and Charles HEATH. He went on to marry just once more (although a death has not yet been found for Elizabeth,I think after her death) a woman named Martha CHARLTON. No children were born through this marraige either.

James married his Step sister Mary Jane SMITH but they were not blood relations.
Their children were John Joseph, Marie E. and Eliza J HEATH.

John Joseph then married Annie TAYLOR who was born in North Ormesby February 22nd 1884.
Their children were Louisa, Annie Elizabeth, Lily May, Albert William, Marjorie, Frederick, Caleb Taylor and George Edwin HEATH.

Frederick HEATH married Jean WHARFE and their children were Patricia Ann, Barbara Elizabeth, Frederick Joseph, Susan Jean, George William and Christine Angela HEATH.

Frederick Joseph married Valerie SADLER and had three children.

I have just added all the information I have at present for Charles CALVESBERT who is the Father of Jean HEATH nee WHARFE.

  It actually starts with Edward HEATH's Father who was Samuel HEATH but we do not yet know when or where Samuel was Born. Edward was born in 1830 in Barnetby-le-Wold, Lincolnshire. He and his first wife Maria MANDERS moved to Middlesbrough after they married (many were seeking work and the ironstone and steel industry was just getting under way at that time). Maria died in Middlesbrough and Edward went on to remarry three times.

  This is all but two children of Robert and Ellen's family. The youngest boy was Charles Bentinck but he was not yet born when this photograph was taken. Another child missing was Lucy who was born in March 1875 but sadly died in the September of the same year.

  Fred and Jean in their younger days with their children having fun. This was probably taken behind Shakespeare Avenue in Grangetown.

  Charles Edward was the son of Charles Henry and Martha Ann CALVESBERT nee SEALY. He was born in 1880 in Colchester and moved to Canada in 1911. He married Ada Elizabeth TURNER in 1911. He is seen in his shop.

  Annie Taylor aged about 90yrs. She married John Joseph Heath, son of James Heath. She became a widow when Fred was just 2yrs old.

• A letter to Fred's sister in December 1936. (96 KB)
  This is a picture of a letter which was sent by Fred HEATH to his sister, Annie Elizabeth HEATH (aka Biz) written on December 21st, 1936. The letter was uncovered by Biz when she was cleaning her cupboards out this year (July 2003). Biz is now 93yrs old and still very active. Fred is now nearly 80yrs and like his big sister also still very active. The address shown no longer exists.

  Albert is the Son of Robert Arthur and Ellen Maria CALVESBERT nee THOMPSON. He was born in Ipswich in 1887 and moved to Murrayvale New Jersey in America where he died in 1947. He married Nellie SWAINSON.

  Arthur James CALVESBERT also son of Robert and Ellen was born 1876 in Ipswich. His wife was Ada CLARKE.

  Robert was the son of Robert and Betsy CALVESBERT nee KING. He was born in 1852 in Ipswich and married Ellen in 1874.
