Notes for JOHN ROSS TROTT:
In their Miller applications (# 615 & 31092) both John and William Trott stated that the father of Rachel Pounds Adair (mother and grandmother respectively) was Red Wat Adair; however, Emmet Starr and all other sources indicate that her father was Samuel Adair Sr, a first cousin of Walter Scott "Red Wat" Adair. Samuel had a brother Walter "Black Wat" Adair.
